CHESTER FAMILY YMCA  LICENSED PRESCHOOL
The Chester Family YMCA Preschool has classes for children ages 3-5 years of age.  Research supports and we believe children learn best through play and exploration.  Our program is designed with this in mind.   Children participate in learning and exploration centers that are designed to encourage all areas of learning, social skills, gross and fine motor skills and allow individual successes that build self esteem.  At the Chester Family YMCA, our program is fun as well as promotes learning.

Our teachers are educated, well trained and caring.  The primary goal of all our teachers is to help all children develop a love of learning, positive self esteem and a curiosity of the world around them.

Using the Creative Curriculum we focus on the whole child, recognizing that each child is unique in his or her learning styles and interests. Our program offers a blend of educational, physical, and social activities that develop and reinforce the YMCA's four core values - caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility. Free swim lessons are included! Yes, your child can enjoy the benefits of YMCA swim lessons as a regular part of our program at no additional cost to you.

3 and 4 -YEAR-OLD CLASS (Must be fully potty trained and 3 by October 31, 2010)
Our 3-year-old program is designed to introduce children to a fun, hands-on, creative learning environment. Enhanced by the Creative Curriculum, children will develop a love for school by learning to interact with peers and teachers using the YMCA's core values of honesty, caring, responsibility and respect that will help develop positive self esteem and feelings of success. Program uses songs, crafts, activities and games to promote a fun, healthy learning environment.  Swim lesson unit included during school year with our YMCA swim instructors.

4-AND 5-YEAR-OLD CLASS (Must be 4 by October 31, 2010)
Our 4-and 5-year-old program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten. Our program uses the Creative Curriculum, which focuses on hands-on activities, songs, games and crafts that allow children individual successes and build positive self esteem, as well as prepare children for academic success. The core values of Honesty, Caring, Respect and Responsiblity are the foundations of the exciting and interactive activities that your child will experience daily.  

Program extras: swim lesson unit with YMCA swim instructors, tumbling and sports.
